The Timberwolves guard posted a photo tribute to the late Flip Saunders, his first NBA coach, on Instagram on Tuesday morning. Saunders and Wiggins shared the same birthday.
The team reportedly sang “Happy Birthday” to both Saunders and Wiggins on Tuesday.

With Saunders, Wiggins started all 82 games and averaged 16.9 points last season. The coach died of Hodgkin lymphoma last October, just before the start of the season. He would have turned 61 Tuesday.
